ABOUT ROBERT WERNER


ROBERT G. WERNER is a retired immigration attorney.  He practiced in San Francisco from 1971 until his retirement, after being educated at Harvard and Berkeley and assisting a Professor at the University of Florence, Italy. J.D. Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California at Berkeley, 1970, top 10% of the class and Editor of the Law Review. A.B. cum laude Harvard College, 1967, National Merit Scholar. Author of professional articles and books, including, How to Secure Your H-1B Visa (2013) and “The New Immigration Act: Impact on the Computer Industry,” The Computer Lawyer, Vol. 8, No.3, March 1991: pp.21-26. Associate at Morrison & Foerster 1971-74.

While practicing law Mr. Werner was given the highest Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating for legal ability and ethical standards and was included in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.  He was also designated a Northern California Super Lawyer in the field of Immigration Law, and recognized by his peers to be one of the Top Immigration Attorneys in Northern California, and served as a Commissioner of the California State Bar Immigration and Nationality Advisory Commission from 2007 to 2010.
